Registrar Of .Ua Domain Name Unblocks Ex.Ua File-Sharing Website’s Domain Name
The Internet-Invest company, which is the registrar of .ua domain names, has unblocked the domain name of the ex.ua file-sharing website.
The press service of the registrar announced this to Ukrainian News.
“Given the specific nature of operation of the DNS system, the domain will be available within 1-24 hours,” the company said.
The registrar unblocked the website’s domain name after checking the notification it received from the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The press service stressed that the availability of the domain name does not mean resumption of the operations of the file-sharing website.
As Ukrainian News earlier reported, the investigation department of Kyiv’s Pecherskyi district administration withdrew a submission made to the Internet Invest company on February 2, and requested cancellation of the decision to block the ex.ua file-sharing website’s domain name.
The Interior Affairs Ministry shut down the ex.ua file-sharing website on January 31 as part of a criminal investigation into copyright violations.
Later in the evening on January 31, there were problems accessing the website of the Interior Affairs Ministry, which the ministry blamed on a hacker attack.
Later, there were problems accessing the websites of several government agencies, including the websites of the President of Ukraine, the National Bank of Ukraine, and the Party of the Regions.
